Disc Jockey: DJ Kris Heslop

Anyone who knows Kris or has seen him spins every week knows his dedication and how much he enjoys entertaining the crowd.

Spinning for 12 years now and only at 28, Kris have played all over the UK and abroad with some of the world’s best DJs.

Most notably spinning at Hed Kandi Durham Events and warmed up for the Ministry of Sound tour 2006 @ Tall Trees, Kris spun at the Future Perfect Festival 08 and the Beach Break Live 09 Festival. Supported DJ Acts like Station Warriors, Simian Mobile Disco, Tayo, The Scratch Perverts, John B, Judge Jules, Brandon Block, Graham Gold, Giles Peterson, Logistics, Dillinja, the Dream team from BBC Radio 1, Utah Jazz, PGR of WAX:ON, Pendulum. Kris also won the Durham heat of the Juice DJ competition in 2002, which was a national competition ran by the Telegraph newspaper.

As a passionate music promoter, he keep pushing the boundaries of music in his home town with nights like TWISTED and FIDGET.TWISTED was an event he created out of a need for good electronic music in a city a wash with venues that only played pop and chart music. TWISTED in turn helps to promote good electronic music such as House, Techno, Dubstep, Breaks, Drum ’n’ Bass. As well as giving Durham DJs a place to play and an audience which they previously did not have. FIDGET was born out of the need for Durham to have a large-scale Music event riding on the waves of the popular Fidget, Bassline and Dubstep scene!

 Now living in Singapore, Kris been working on his production and playing guest slots at clubs such as Avalon, Azzura, Kinki Bar, Indochine, Home Club, Lucky 13 and Scape.
